I went out to the greenhouse on Easter and snapped a couple pictures of my tomatoes, as they are getting much bigger (and a bit out of control).

Here are some I have transplanted (again) into 3 gallon pots.  I am hoping they will live in these until they hit the ground mid May to early June (I live in Colorado):

Here are all the ones still in the 6 inch pots that need to be transplanted.  I call it my greenhouse wall of tomatoes:

Tomato update: It has been almost two weeks since I planted the tomatoes, and almost all of them are up, except there is no sign of Opalka, and light showing for Tobolsk, Boxcar Willie and Blondkopfchen.

Some early poppers included the Lahman Pink, Moskovich, Ispolin and Tommy Toe.

Here they are at 2 weeks – some are getting ready for a peat pot!

Last night Cat and I planted a couple inside boxes for some near term veggies:

Planter Box - New Crop

Planter Box - New Crop

  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • Carrots
  • Radishes

These are in the grow room, under lights on 18 hours a day.  This is the same room my new seedling boxes are in.

I just planted more seeds for the 2010 Colorado garden season:

  • Pumpkin
  • Acorn Squash
  • Butternut Squash
  • Watermelon
  • Cantaloupe
  • Slicing Cucumbers
  • Aji Dulce Peppers
  • Shepherd Bell Peppers
  • Jalapeno
  • Broccoli
  • Eggplant

Will try to post again when the seeds are up and moving to their pots.

Well, I have lots of capacity to grow this year, so have ordered and already received my heirloom certified organic seeds from Gary Ibsen’s Tomato Fest.

This year, I am planting the following varieties:

The also gave me a free sample of Giant Syrian , (image) so am anxious to try that out as well.

I just added water to my seed bed, and hope to get the seeds down tonight.  Will try to keep you all posted!
